Information regarding PANDEMIC (H1N1) 2009
IADT remains open for students, staff and vistors. Lectures. assessments and all other services are taking place as scheduled. Please see the relevant locations on our website for opening times and information. Please also refer to the notices as posted on notice boards across the campus for up to date infomation.
If you suspect that you have influenza do not come to IADT or attend your GP; call the HSE free phone Flu Information Line (1800 941100) or ring your GP for further advice.
Preventing the spread of germs is the single most effective way to slow the spread of influenza or flu. You should always:
- Use tissues to cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
- Place used tissues in a bin as soon as possible
- Ensure everyone washes their hands regularly with soap and water
- Clean surfaces regularly to get rid of germs
- If you think you have influenza, please avoid close contact with others, stay at home and seek medical advice by phoning your GP.
Travel
There is currently no restriction on national or international travel. However, any person who suspects that they have influenza should not travel if they feel unwell or until they have become non-infectious. Always refer to the websites referred to above for further information. If you are travelling abroad ensure that you are aware of the local influenza response protocols and in particular what to do if you develop symptoms.
